The PlayStation 5 reveal event featured many top-tier next-gen games. A new Spider-Man, a new Resident Evil, and so many other exciting titles were revealed.

But there was one game that people perhaps overlooked during the one-hour games showcase. But for people who noticed this new game, it's considered to be one of the most highly-anticipated on Playstation 5 so far.

Regardless, we're going to catch up on one particular game that might have escaped your attention, but it definitely should be on your radar.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be a clever cat that can solve mysteries… Well, this may just be the game for you.

The new PlayStation 5 game, Stray, is a new work from Annapurna Interactive. It is a third-person cat adventure game that puts you in a futuristic city as a cat that has to solve all kinds of challenging mysteries and exciting puzzles.

This cat is completely lost in a world where humans have been wiped out and replaced by robots. Keen for more? Here's the official synopsis for the game:

Lost, alone, and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city… see the world through the eyes of a stray band interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this foreign world.

Playing as an animal in PlayStation games isn't something new. However, Stray, developed by BlueTwelve Studio, will give you the first chance with the brand new PS5 to experience the world as an adorable cat in a strange, forgotten city.

"Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly," Annapurna Interactive said.

"Players will play as a stray cat, roaming surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures. Lost, alone and separated from family, players must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find the way home."

If you're trying to figure out why the name "Annapurna Interactive" sounds so familiar to you, it's because they're one of the biggest game publishers around.

They have also previously released acclaimed games such as What Remains of Edith Finch, Outer Wilds, and Sayonara Wild Hearts.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any gameplay in the Stray teaser trailer. However, the graphics, the colors, the adorable cat itself, everything was more than enough to get us hyped up.

Hopefully, in the coming months, we'll be seeing more about Stray

Stray is set for release in 2021, but the good news is that the PS5 console should be out around the Holidays. so hang in there cat lovers!
