The arrest of Jeffrey Epstein and his suicide was the biggest stories of 2019. But we still don't know his connections to the world's most famous politicians, and a new Borat movie will get into it. Well, at least partly.
Borat 2: what to expect
Kazakhstan's most famous journalist is coming back on Amazon in a few weeks. It is called Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan.
The film will premiere on Amazon Prime, and the shooting was quick and cheap during the lockdown. Now, the real story is the plot of Borat's sequel.
The movie targets are both Mike Pence, as well as President Donald Trump, and his alleged connections to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The movie will also explore the covid-19 outbreak, and there are some exciting cameos: Mike Pence and Rudy Giuliani, to name a few.
In June, the comedian crashed a far-right rally and started a theory-laden conspiracy singalong. Sasha Baron Cohen, aka Borat, didn't comment on this event. But, it's safe to say that it will be featured in the movie.
The case that shook the world
Jeffrey Epstein's case has been one of the biggest puzzles in the world for decades. The sex ring, which included minors, is massive, and it seems like we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg.
His alleged connections to US politicians and other respected figures left many speechless. Rest assured that the movie, though it's merely a parody, will give sleepless nights to many.
Considering that Borat will come back in late October, we're also sure that Twitter will be on fire just before the elections. And don't be surprised if the current POTUS adds his two cents on the subject.
Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat! Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan from 2006 was seen as controversial and tacky by many. Yet, it created an iconic and memorable character, which gave the British comedian not just fame, but power as well.
For his mocumentary from 2018, Who Is America, Baron-Cohen, risked his life multiple times to shoot the scenes. He had to wear a bulletproof vest on two different shooting days. There were risky and dangerous scenarios in the shooting, but it was well worth it.
The mocumentary even got some people fired, others resigned. If you skipped it until now, what are you waiting for?
Though we know Borat as a movie, he started at Da Ali G Show. Back then he was a minor character back in 1996. But, the real delight came a decade later, and the follow-up, Bruno, wasn't as successful.
People fell in love with Borat's naivete and satirical, disturbingly accurate commentary on the world we live in. Will Borat make his impact on the elections? We wouldn't dismiss that idea, so Donald Trump has another thing to worry about.
Cohen wrote the upcoming Borat 2 alongside Anthony Hines, Dan Swimmer, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, and Lee Kern.
