You will be seeing more of Elliot Page as Vanya Hargreeves when Netflix's The Umbrella Academy returns for its eagerly awaited third season. This news came hours after Page declared himself a non-binary transgender person.
This should be fantastic news for devoted fans of this Netflix series. On the streaming giant's official Twitter account, Elliot was applauded as a beloved superhero:
"So proud of our superhero! WE LOVE YOU ELLIOT! Can't wait to see you return in season 3!"
So, it's not just the fans looking forward to seeing more of Elliot during the third season of the show. Netflix is also very proud of this accomplished actor.

The second season of the series ended last summer, and the show's devoted fans can't wait for the third season to begin. The increasingly popular series features Elliot as a Vanya, who is a cisgender woman with superhero powers.
This will continue to be the case for the foreseeable future. According to the news, there are no plans to change the gender of this character at the moment.
Nick Adams has commented on the issue and Elliot's character as well. He takes a lot of pride in seeing trans actors play the kind of roles Elliot has taken.
Nick Adams is the director of transgender media at GLAAD. In an interview with Variety, Nick had this to say:
"Trans actors can and do play both trans and cisgender characters. I'm sure Elliot will continue to be brilliant in Umbrella Academy and many different types of roles in the future."
At the moment, Netflix has gone to the lengths of editing all the credits on Page's work to show his proper name. Titles that have been edited so far include The Umbrella Academy, Something in the Water, Tallulah, and Tales of the City.
On many levels, there is nothing but good news for Elliot and Umbrella Academy fans. By making the revelation that he is a non-binary transgender person, it is clear that Elliot is in a role he was born to play.
For all Umbrella Academy fans out there, there has never been a more exciting time to be a fan of this amazing Netflix series. So, fans have plenty to look forward to as the series comes back for its third season.
