A naked man in Australia decided a commercial car wash bay would be the perfect place to enjoy a late-night shower. And the CCTV captured him in the act.
In the footage, the naked man covers his crotch with one hand as he grabs a water hose on the wall.
He then hands the hose to his friend, who sprays him down while filming the impromptu shower on the phone.
The pale man then ducks and runs around, bouncing as his friend sprays him with the chemicals.
The car wash owner, Geoff Bowen, said he arrived at work and found the water gun on the ground. He checked the security cameras to see the bizarre incident.
He said:
"I just quickly looked at it to see if anything needed attention. Then, I saw the naked dude."
"I couldn't believe it, and I watched back through the footage from there."
Bowen added that the car wash features four self-service bays, an automatic wash, and a dog-washing facility.
The man first used the automatic facility, which uses an acidic spray to get the dirt off cars. He then moved to a self-service bay where his friend sprayed him with water.
Bowen explained:
"The first one it comes out is a high pH that dissolves grime and bird droppings."
"The next one is a neutralizer, a low pH. He was in the machine, and he kept moving, so the sensor detected 'there's something wrong,' and it shut the machine off."
He added:
"To get that on you and get stuck is bad. You can get skin burns from the chemicals, which is why he went to the self-serve bay and doused himself down."
"He couldn't run the gurney on himself, so he got his mate to do it who seemed to have a bit of fun."
"Apparently, he is fine, but he probably won't be doing something like that again."
Bowen also said he's glad the video went viral on social media as it has gained them, new customers.
He said:
"It's made it a very pleasant atmosphere, a very jovial workplace."
"The word is that he's fine, his health is fine. But he's not enjoying his newfound fame."
"But business has been so good."
The owner also said they would not press charges against the man. Instead, they will offer him a free car wash—this time in his vehicle—if he ever shows up at the business.
