Mountain Rumored To Be Releasing A New Peach Flavor Drink Called 'Happy Dew Year' For The Holidays

Mountain Dew surely knows how to buzz all its drinkers. And recently, our favorite soft drink brand was reportedly rumored to launch another exciting offering – the Mountain Dew Peach Flavor called Happy Dew Year.

Happy Dew Year was first mentioned in the comments section of one of the Reddit posts in early 2019. Judging by the name of the drink at the time, it could have been a promotion or a special treat for Mountain Dew.

It was also speculated that the flavor could be a champagne flavor or a peach flavor.

As ComicBook.com reported, the drink was first talked about when a photo was posted to their Discord server of this soda next to Merry Mash-Up (a holiday-themed drink) and VooDew,( a flavor that was recently released for Halloween).

Mountain Dew Fandom wiki added that Happy Dew Year is an upcoming "Mountain Dew flavor that will be officially released in stores…as a limited edition."

People on Reddit seemed pretty stoked on the new peachy flavor:

"If this is real, I'm gonna have a new favorite dew."

"Nice to see them dewing more holidays. From Dew.S.A to Dew Year. For Valentine's day, instead of Cupid, it could be Dewpid. Or, Will U Dew Me?"

"Will certainly shake this up like a champagne bottle and pour it in a champagne glass. And store some for 20 or so years, let it age…"

On August 26th, 2019, the drink also leaked on the Dew Drinker Discord that Happy Dew Year would be released only in 20 oz Sidekick bottles.

Sometime in November 2019, it was seen on PepsiCo's PepCoin promotion website that Happy Dew Year would participate in the promotion. This was its last glimpse before being canceled.

In early December 2019, some people became skeptical of Happy Dew Year, not hearing new information from PepsiCo employees, not being found anywhere else in PepsiCo warehouses or stores early on its release.

On December 12th, 2019, on a Reddit post, a PepsiCo employee confirmed that Happy Dew Year has officially been canceled, as reported by Mountain Dew Fandom wiki.

This led many disappointed fans of Mountain Dew to never taste this drink.

Happy DEW Year is one of few flavors of Mountain Dew that was planned and ended up known to the public before getting canceled. Others include a 2019 release of Baja Blast Zero Sugar, as well as Kickstart Orange Cranberry from late 2015.
