The father threw a newborn into the Mississippi River after he shot and killed the mother. The baby was initially reported missing.
The man, Brandon Isabelle, was put under arrest on Wednesday, and he is now facing murder charges related to the crimes.
He confessed that he shot 27-year-old Danielle Hoyle dead before taking their 2-day-old baby Kennedy Hoyle.
The last time the infant was seen, she was with her mother. Danielle was found dead close to her car, which had been left close to Sedgwick Drive on Levi Road in Memphis.

Her body was also found close to her car.
According to investigators, the victim had been shot. The Memphis police had been told that the last time the 2-day-old was seen, she was with her mother.
Unfortunately, the child could not be located.
According to family members, the last time they heard from Danielle, she said she was taking the baby to get vaccinated. Later, the police informed the family members that her body had been found, as well as her car.
The baby, however, had yet to be located.
Isabelle eventually told investigators he had tricked Hoyle to the Levi and Sedgwick area before shooting her. After that, he took the baby from her car and went to Island Park and the Upper Mud Island Boat Ramp, where he threw him into the water.
Danielle's mother said that he wanted Isabelle to suffer as much as he had made her daughter suffer:
"I want him to hurt. I don't want it to be easy for him. I want him to suffer. He needs to suffer. Why would you hurt a baby?"
The police kept looking for Kennedy and later said that the baby was probably already dead.
The last time she was seen, she was wearing pink pants and a black and white polka dot onesie. The girl weighed six pounds, and she had brown hair and brown eyes.
