According to friends of the late Michael Jackson, his famous high-pitched voice wasn't how he naturally spoke. They believe that his father, Joe, might have influenced this.

When we think of Michael Jackson, it's hard not to recall his extremely high-pitched voice. Even after his passing in 2009, those impersonating him still imitate his voice, making it a significant part of their act, alongside his iconic sparkling glove and white hat.

However, some individuals close to Michael Jackson have asserted that his high-pitched voice was not authentic. They claim he only used it during interviews and that it wasn't his regular way of speaking.

One of Michael Jackson's former friends stated that in everyday life, his voice was much deeper and not high-pitched. This friend, Samm Brown III, shared this surprising insight in 2005.

Samm Brown III's revelation about Michael Jackson's voice not being genuine has garnered attention from fans. This musical director made this astonishing disclosure during an interview with VH1.

"I hope he doesn't get angry at me for telling you this, but that's his public persona."

"I remember a time I called him up and he answered the phone and I didn't know I was talking to him, because he was talking in his normal voice, which is pretty deep," he added.

It's quite astonishing that Samm Brown III made these remarks about Michael Jackson, especially considering that Jackson's former bandmate from the Jackson Five was still alive when Brown spoke out.

However, Samm Brown wasn't the sole individual discussing this matter regarding the deceased singer. Actor David Guest also expressed a similar viewpoint about Michael Jackson during his appearance on the Larry King Live show.

Addressing the late-night TV host, Guest stated: "I think people don't know the real him. He doesn't talk like that."

In fact, David Guest's wife once shared a story about how she stumbled upon Michael Jackson's real voice by accident. The discovery happened while she overheard a conversation between the two men.

During her interview on Larry King's show, actress Liza Minnelli admitted that she had always believed that Michael's high-pitched voice was genuine.

However, everything changed one night when she shared a surprising anecdote about the famous singer.

Minnelli recounted how, on a particular day, she inadvertently picked up the phone and heard David Guest and Michael Jackson in conversation. To her surprise, Jackson wasn't using his well-known high-pitched voice during the call.

This unexpected discovery left Minnelli astonished, and even though she wasn't part of the conversation, she felt compelled to mention it to Jackson.

She shared with the viewers: "I said: 'Michael, you're busted. I got you now. All these years you've been talking in that voice!'"

However, later on, the couple disclosed that the high-pitched voice acted as a protective shield, concealing the singer's sorrowful past and safeguarding him from the public's scrutiny.

She went on to say: "This is who you think I am and I can be me within these walls but you can't come in."

"He's been hurt too much, Larry. I mean, they have said kind of rotten things about him. The person that we know is a rather regular guy, believe it or not."
