Mia Khalifa, a former adult film star, has spoken out about feeling used and treated as an object in the adult film industry.
Despite only appearing in 11 films over a span of three months, Khalifa became one of the industry's most well-known figures.
Shockingly, she was paid only $12,000 for her work, which is significantly low considering her level of fame.
After leaving the industry, Khalifa explored various other professions, including writing books, hosting podcasts, and even working as a sports broadcaster.
Her immense popularity has gained her a large following, and she utilizes her platform to share her experiences and insights from her time in the adult film world.

During an interview on Steven Barlett's Diary of a CEO podcast, Mia Khalifa, who now goes by her birth name Sarah Joe Chamoun, openly discusses the way she was treated by her toxic ex-husband.
At the young age of 20, Khalifa married a former US soldier who pressured her into joining the adult film industry.
Khalifa characterizes the relationship as something that many girls find themselves in during their teenage years.
Furthermore, she goes on to state that she does not consider it a genuine relationship, as she felt like nothing more than a "toy to play with."
"I even feel weird calling it a relationship, because the dynamic was not one of a relationship – it was more one of someone who saw a toy to play with," she continued.
During the podcast, Khalifa disclosed that she eloped shortly after turning 18, discussing her marriage experience.
"I got talked into eloping to Las Vegas four days after my 18th birthday," she explained.
"I didn't have a sense of self so I attached myself to someone who was more than happy to abuse that and someone who could see that and see someone easily manipulatable."
"But at the same time [I was] eager to please. It was just the perfect storm."

Khalifa gained significant attention in the past when she discussed men's expectations regarding their partners' behavior in the bedroom.
During an interview with journalist Stephen Sackur on BBC's HARDTalk, she shared her thoughts on the matter.
"It affects relationships, and p*** addiction is very prevalent – the things men see in the videos and expect from the women in their lives is not reality."
"No one is going to do those acts on a Wednesday night with the ones they love."
During the interview, Khalifa openly acknowledges that she initially saw working in the adult film industry as her own private, "dirty little secret."
However, things took an unexpected turn, and within a span of just two months, she became the most-viewed performer on a popular adult website.
Not only did Khalifa achieve immense popularity, but she also garnered significant attention worldwide, particularly in the Middle East.
This was due to the controversy surrounding her appearance in a video wearing a hijab, which sparked a lot of discussion and debate.
