Meat Loaf Has Died Aged 74

Meat Loaf, real name Michael Lee Aday, passed away at 74.

The statement from the family was released via Facebook:

The musician and actor had an impressive career that spanned over six decades. In 1977, he released the Bat Out Of Hell trilogy, one of the ten best-selling recordings of all time.

Fans and coworkers expressed their sadness and memories about the iconic artist.

Most mentioned his most remarkable record, as one fan wrote:

"RIP Meatloaf [sic]. One of the best Rocking in heaven now. Like a bat out of hell!!!!!"

Several Meat Loaf's singles went platinum, including Two of Three Ain't Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That), and others.

His acting career consisted of over 60 roles, but the most memorable was in Rocky Horror Picture Show from 1975, where he played an ex-delivery boy, Eddie.

Meat Loaf passed away after, allegedly, contracting Covid-19. He was heavily against Covid restrictions, saying, "if I die, I die - I'm not going to be controlled."

Meat Loaf will be missed, and our thoughts are with his wife, daughters, and numerous fans and friends.
