Marvel Studios Confirms It's Looking For Ways To Bring Keanu Reeves Into The MCU

This is perhaps everything Keanu Reeves fans could ever hope for.

It's with no doubt Keanu Reeves is one of the most iconic action movie stars on the planet right now. So in demand that he's even being sought out to voice animated movie characters (Toy Story 4) and for cameos in quirky Netflix hilarious rom-com (Always Be My Maybe).

His John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum premiered to positive reviews, and all of this success and milestone achieved by Keanu Reeves has brought about a particular question about his future:

At what point in time will Marvel Studios finally find a way to bring him into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel Studios' president, Kelvin Feige, was asked whether he had spoken with Keanu Reeves about joining the MCU.

And Feige responded with the answer we've been waiting for.

He confirmed Marvel has actually been talking with Reeves for almost every film they make. So, it seems like it'll eventually happen. It's just a matter of when.

Feige told the outlet:

"We talk to him for almost every film we make."

"We talk to Keanu Reeves about it. I don't know when, if, or ever he'll join the MCU. But we very much want to figure out the right way to do it."

Feige compares Keanu Reeves to Jake Gyllenhaal, saying that they talked to the Spider-Man: Far From Home star "multiple times" until the perfect role appeared.

They are hoping a similar situation will occur with Reeves, and that he'll finally join the world of Marvel "when the right role presents itself."

Since Disney has recently acquired Marvel's Fox, this might open new doorways for Keanu Reeves to appear in the MCU.

Notably, fans are waiting to see which mutants will pave the way into the MCU since Dark Phoenix has officially ended.

The news about Keanu Reeves joining MCU comes after Marvel had been rumored to be looking to add Keanu to The Eternals. A source told MCU Cosmic that The Eternals is already in Marvel's works, but it's not known who Reeves would portray in the film.

We may not have to wait for long to see if the Marvel Cinematic Universe will successfully rope in the John Wick star.

This year, Reeves has made headlines all over the film-making industry and has even been tagged as the "internet boyfriend."

He was also selected for the Time magazine person of the year, a petition that went crazily wild on Change.org. As of now, it has over 7000 signatures.
