The family of a New Jersey woman was shocked to learn that her former husband had been consistently urinating on her grave. To catch the perpetrator who had been desecrating Linda Louise Torello's final resting place, her son Michael Murphy, 43, installed a covert camera. The footage revealed a disturbing reality that surpassed their expectations.
1. The Family Was Regularly Finding Bags Of Poo On The Grave
The objects had been placed on her gravestone, prompting Murphy and his family to install the camera in that location to capture the perpetrator. After reviewing the footage, they were utterly appalled to witness the ex-husband of their mother arriving five days a week to urinate on her grave.
2. The Ex-husband Even Brought His Current Partner Along With Him One Of The Times
Despite being divorced from Murphy's mother for over 48 years, it remains unclear what motivated the man to commit such a dreadful act. Nevertheless, according to the Daily Mail, he had previously expressed regret in having a daughter, who happens to be Murphy's half-sister. It appears he is quite a charming individual!
3. Murphy Shared The Findings On His Facebook Page, Where Friends And Extended Family Members Expressed Their Shock
"THIS IS BREAKING MY HEART. A man from Bergen county New Jersey has been leaving bags of poo and pissing on my mother's tombstone almost every morning like a normal routine' assisted by his wife also," he wrote. "We have weeks and months of evidence. It has been reported to the police and the news outlets. No one in my family has had contact with him since 1976 or so how he found my mother's grave site we are not sure. But this stems back to a problem almost 50 years ago. Pray for us thank you and please share this!!!"
4. Sadly, The Man Is Not Facing Any Criminal Charges
Although the incident was reported to the police, it appears that no investigation has been initiated, and the authorities have decided not to press charges against the man. Nevertheless, the family has been granted permission by the police to maintain the camera in close proximity to the gravesite.
5. Since The Footage Was Made Public, The Man Has Stopped Coming By To Pee On The Woman's Grave
"I believe he stopped but I'm so protective at this point, I've been going every morning just in case. At least if he sees a car there he will be deterred to keep driving by because the police were a complete letdown," he said. "I promised my wife and kids I wouldn't hurt him but I'm afraid to confront him because I wouldn't be able to control myself if I got that close to him. He did this to my mother's grave for months maybe years. Every cop I speak to has said 'you're a better man than me cause I would have killed him.'"
