The man initially lost consciousness while having sex with the prostitute in Phalombe. Unfortunately, he didn't recover and soon died.

After the woman witnessed the tragedy that had just taken place, she reported the issue to fellow workers. Later, she reported the death to the police, and they took over the case.

After examining the body, the medical examiner from Migowi Health Centre confirmed that the man had indeed died while having sex. There were no other indications that anything other than sex had caused the man to lose his life.

The news also spread throughout the country, and so, the incident got a lot of attention, even across international borders.

In fact, since the man died, the town's name has been the butt of many jokes. Memes related to the incident have flooded Malawian social media.

The official cause of death is listed as "excessive orgasm which causes blood vessels in the brain to rupture."

Afterward, the police confirmed that the woman would not be held accountable for the man's death. Therefore, she will walk away without facing any charges.

The local newspaper had a more enticing description of what transpired, explaining that the man died of "too much sexual excitement and sweetness."

Later, Majawa's body was taken back to his village in Matepwe.

The death has become a popular joke in Malawi for several months. A lot of people have speculated on what the professional lady was doing to the man resulting in his death.

Images of "Phalombe sugar, take it at your own risk" and a car filled with guys captioned "Phalombe here we come" have gone viral on Malawian social media.

However, the official description that the man died of too much sexual excitement takes the cake.
