A wanted man recently commented on the police Facebook post to defend his bad hairstyle.
Darren Whitmore, a Nuneaton, Warwickshire resident, couldn't help but get defensive when people roasted him for his bright blue hairstyle.
When the authorities are after you, the last thing you want to do is to comment under your wanted poster on their official Facebook page.
However, it seems like Whitmore felt too strongly about his hair to let this one go. Instead, he commented on the image posted on the official Warwickshire Police Facebook page.
Interestingly, the picture that Warwickshire Police shared showed Darren with his normal brown hair, captioning:
We're appealing to the public to help locate 37-year-old Darren Whitmore from Nuneaton.
We would like to speak to him in connection with an assault in December.
Darren is white, 6', and of a slim build. He has bright blue hair and a large tattoo of a panther on his left arm. He has links to Nuneaton and Bedworth.
If anyone has seen him or known of his whereabouts, please call 101, quoting incident 228 of 3 January 2021.
Social Media Trolls Get On Whitmore's Nerves
As you might have expected, the internet trolls had all day to dig through Facebook and find his official account. And when they did, they found one of his recent blue-haired pictures:
Commenters then began to make fun of his vibrant hairdo. The 37-year-old was obviously triggered and made an effort to deal with the haters:
He went even further, replying to the sister of the woman he allegedly assaulted:
Among all the times when trolls have ripped a criminal to pieces on Facebook, this was one of the rarest cases, where the person foolishly responded!
He should have saved his efforts, though, not only to avoid the police but also because fighting on social media is never a win.
It would be more hilarious if Darren's comments helped the police track him down and arrest him.
But the guy seems smart enough to dye his hair some other wacky color to confuse the police! Perhaps hot pink or orange will do?
