Madonna Says The World Is "Threatened" By Her Power And Intelligence

Madonna is determined not to let negativity from her detractors affect her.

Following her outburst towards those questioning her appearance at the 65th Grammy Awards, Madonna took to Twitter to post a mysterious message.

"The world is threatened by my power and my stamina," she wrote. "My intelligence and my will to survive, but they will never break me."

"This is all the test."

Many believe that her enigmatic tweet was a continuation of her retaliation after the Grammys, where she labeled those who commented on her appearance as "misogynistic" and "ageist."

Social media commentators were swift to reiterate their opinions, urging the 80's pop sensation to tone down her behavior.

One user wrote: "Lady you're scarin' us."

Another commenter added, quite wisely: "Girl, you're turning into Michael Jackson. Stop."

While a third added: "It's not about misogyny or ageism from others. It's about internalizing those concepts in your own being by deforming yourself to keep up with impossible standards of youth."

In spite of the comments on social media, Madonna seems to be forging her own path.

Following the controversy surrounding the Grammys, Madonna posted a video on Instagram showcasing her hanging out with some of the most prominent figures of the evening.

Despite appearing to have an excellent time, she utilized the caption to send a message to her detractors.

"Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim, many people chose to only talk about close-up photos of me taken with a long lens camera by a press photographer that Would distort anyone's face," she said on Instagram.

"Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in."

"A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous."

"I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I'm not going to start ... I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come."

She added: "In the words of Beyonce: 'You won't break my soul'."
