Cynthia Perkins, 36, former Louisiana teacher, pleaded guilty to "horrific crimes" against children and admitted that she laced cupcakes with her ex-husband's sperm and then served them to her students.
Louisiana authorities confirmed that the ex-husband is awaiting trial for his "child sex crime charges." Perkins will testify against her ex, Dennis Perkins, 44. Dennis Perkins is a former Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office SWAT member.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said in a statement:
"She not only waived any right to appeal and attempt to avoid conviction, but she also spared the victims from reliving her horrific crimes during this particular trial."
He added that "today's conviction is in the best interest of our victims and justice."
Cynthia Perkins taught English in junior high but resigned after police raided her home with Dennis Perkins. He was immediately fired.

In 2019, the investigators received a tip from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Perkins. In October 2019, the police seized numerous photos and other evidence from the couple's home.
Court documents reported by WBRZ revealed that the police also found photos of Cynthia's students eating the semen-laced cupcakes and that the couple allegedly raped a child, 9 or 10 years old. The police uncovered numerous compromising photos from their iPhones and found hidden cameras in their attic and bathroom.
Together, they were charged with dozens of crimes, including child porn and rape, while Dennis was also accused of obscenity, video voyeurism, and possession of child pornography.
Livingston Sheriff Jason Ard said that though Dennis was his long-time friend, "no one is above the law."
Cynthia Perkins pleaded guilty to second-degree rape, producing child porn, and conspiracy of mingling harmful substances. She has been sentenced to 41 years in prison, with no possibility of parole for 40 years.
Out of 72, 68 alleged crimes were dropped in the plea deal.
Dennis Perkins faces 150 criminal charges.
