There are must-have basic human dignities we all deserve. For instance, to be fed, feel warm and safe. I believe even the worst criminals have the right to these essential things.

That's why it's terrible to see someone out there, apparently all alone, not being able to access such necessities. Lack of food is a big issue.

Thankfully, some individuals have gone out of their ways to help those struggling in life, especially the homeless, with their heartwarming deeds.

Even though the homeless can seem unseemly by those with mortgages and automobiles, one fact remains: The homeless are equally human as you and I.

And one 80-year-old Spanish priest knew this well.

This brave and kind-hearted priest hatched an ingenious and sustainable way to help the impoverished in society. He opened a small cafe named Robin Hood in Madrid, which had a unique business strategy.

During breakfast, lunch, and dinner times, the café opens to the general public, charging a slightly higher price than usual rates.

But at night, it throws its doors open for the homeless, allowing the disadvantaged to enjoy a three-course meal (for free) just like everyone else. Rodríguez said he aimed to treat them "with the same dignity as any other customer."

A similar act was taken on by the management of Little Caesars restaurant in Fargo, North Dakota. The eatery is now capturing the hearts of many by feeding the hungry.

Employees of Little Caesars were closing the restaurant one evening as usual, but something outside the establishment caught their attention. A homeless man was delving into the trash in a desperate search for a leftover snack.

When the employees tried to approach him, he just fled, possibly thinking they wanted to punish him. But it turns out the staff wanted to help.

So, the management of the restaurant decided to try a different approach. They placed a notice on the window so that when the homeless man returns, he'll be able to read and take up on their offer without fear.

The notice read:

"To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you're a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster."

"Please come in during operating hours for a couple of slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked."

Though it's unclear whether the man took the offer, what we're sure of is that a little grace can give someone the much-needed help to turn their life around.
