Johnny Depp Recruits Camille Vasquez For Next Legal Battle Against Film Worker

Camille Vasquez became a celebrity in her own right during the Depp vs. Heard trial. Johnny Depp and Vasquez are going back to the courtroom as Gregg "Rocky" Brooks, a film location manager, sued the actor, Radar has learned.
Alongside Vasquez will be Randall A. Smith, a partner in Brown Rudnick's Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group. Vasquez has been elevated to partner at the same firm.

Brooks filed a lawsuit against Johnny Depp for alleged assault on a movie set in 2017. The personal injury lawsuit was filed in July 2018 in Los Angeles.
The Sun reports that the 61-year-old filed a lawsuit, accusing the actor of "inflicting emotional distress" after allegedly punching him twice in the ribs.
The alleged dispute happened once Brooks informed the actor they were shooting past the time of their permit.
Depp's response was that he acted in "self-defense," and he was "provoked."
The actor also alleged that the two sorted out the beef before the lawsuit.

During a deposition, Depp said:
"I had my assistant bring a bottle of wine. And we toasted in, I think, paper cups. And, you know, no harm, no foul. I apologized. He apologized. Gave him a hug. We embraced. You know, I hugged him. And everything was cool. As a matter of fact, he asked for a selfie with me. And so I took a selfie with him."
During the trial in Virginia over Amber Heard's op-ed in The Washington Post, the seven-person jury found that his ex-wife defamed Depp. He was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
The punitive damages were reduced to $350,000, the state's statutory cap or legal limit.
Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.

Brooks' lawyer Pat Harris spoke to The Sun, saying:
"While we respect the jury's decision, it has no relevance to Mr. Brooks' case in Los Angeles."
The lawyer added:
"This case is not about two Hollywood celebrities involved in a toxic relationship."
"It is about the assault of a hard-working film crew member by the production's star."
Camille Vasquez was hailed the star of the Depp vs. Heard trial. Will she repeat the success in LA?
