Joe Rogan thinks Disney can raise its stock by simply saying, "f**k it, we're on team Johnny Depp" and then have him star in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film.
Rogan made the statement during his Spotify podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, on Tuesday. He talked to Dan Auerbach and Partick Carney, members of The Black Keys.
They discussed the fact that Disney's "stock prices" were down. He believed the company could change this unfortunate situation by giving back the Pirates role to Depp, who is currently suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for defaming him.
Rogan said that he was wondering if Depp was going to get back his role on Pirates of the Caribbean and went on to say that if Disney wished to bring back the stock they had lost in the last couple of months, then they should choose to be on Johnny Depp's side.
"That would probably pump up their stock market price. Like literally, that would cause their stock to rise. If they're [just] like, 'You know what? We're bringing Johnny back, we believe him.' Hashtag believe most women."
His guests also sided with him and implied that the "solution" for Disney would be casting the two in the same project, probably a pirate movie.
However, Rogan seems to have forgotten that Depp has already said that he had no interest in reprising the role after he was fired by Disney back in 2018.
In court, Depp was asked by Heard's attorney Ben Rottenborn if he would take the role if someone gave him $300 million and a million alpacas, and he said he would not.
Depp is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million because he claims she defamed him and destroyed his Hollywood career. According to Heard, Depp made false accusations against her, so she is countersuing him for $100 million in damages.
Depp and Heard got married in 2015 and divorced in 2017.
