Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced their separation recently, and this photo has everyone wondering what is going on with our Aquaman.

Tall, handsome, irresistible

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1979, Jason Momoa is one of the most recognizable actors in the world. Thanks to his six-foot-four muscular statue, women have been pining for Momoa for years.

But he is not just a perfect face with a body to die for. Momoa studied marine biology and wildlife biology, and as faith would have it, one of his roles was in Stargate: Atlantis, a Sci-Fi military film.

The real success came after he was cast in the Game of Thrones.

The star on the rise

Momoa's Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones quickly found its way to fans' hearts. Though Jason Momoa was not as famous when he was cast in 2011, things changed rapidly.

Like most of the ones on the show, his character was brutal, ruthless, but that did not stop people from falling for him. It all had to do with Momoa's skills to give his warrior beast of character a more humane approach.

Of course, most of us enjoyed the unfolding of Drogo's relationship with Daenerys Targaryen. From an arranged marriage to genuine feelings of love, Drogo and Daenerys had us on our toes.

And this crazy love story involved coming back to life, sacrificing an unborn baby, and much more. But there was no happily ever after, and Jason and Emilia Clarke parted ways. Or, their characters did.

Momoa after Game of Thrones

In 2016's Batman v Superman, Aquaman appeared, and two years later, he got his own film. In 2017, he was also part of the Justice League.

Aquaman was such a success that it earned a sequel. While waiting for the second movie to start, Momoa was busy with hits, such as Braven, Frontier, and even made a short film Canvas Of My Life.

The short movie's theme was personal: Momoa's experience of fatherhood. He is a dad of two preteens from his relationship with Lisa Bonet.

The two met in 2005, but he had a crush on Lisa since her days in The Cosby Show:

"I mean, I didn't tell her that. I didn't let her know I was a stalker until after we had the kids. If someone says something isn't possible, I'm like, 'Listen here, I married Lisa Bonet. Anything is f–king possible."

Lola Iolani Momoa was born in 2007, and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa was born in 2008. Jason is also stepfather to Lisa's firstborn, Zoe Kravitz, whose dad is Lenny Kravitz.

The couple tied the knot in 2017, but around the holidays, they issued a statement that partly read:

"We share our Family news~ That we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it's newsworthy ~ But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty."

"The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become… Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children… Teaching our Children What's possible ~ Living the Prayer… May Love Prevail."
