Jamie Lee Curtis is fed up with late-night events that go beyond her bedtime. As a prominent A-list celebrity in Hollywood, she receives numerous invitations to attend various events, many of which she would love to attend.
However, the problem is that most of these events have one major flaw: they end too late for her liking. An example of such an event is the private dinner for Academy Award nominees, which she has been invited to this week.
Jamie Lee Curtis has declined an invitation to the Academy Award nominees private dinner this week, citing concerns that the event won't start until 7:30 pm and the food won't be served until much later.
Despite it being a significant occasion, Curtis opted out of the invitation, as she revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"You might say, 'Jamie, you're nominated for an Academy Award, you're going to be in the room with only nominees for the Academy Award'," she said, adding: "Because mommy goes to bed early."

During her appearance on the Today show, Curtis made a call to every event planner in the United States to pay attention to the issue.
"I'm challenging musicians to do concerts during the day."
"Why are there no matinees? For instance, I love Coldplay, I would love to go see Coldplay. I would love it, but the problem is I am not going to see Coldplay if they start their show at nine and there is an opening act," she continued.
"I want to hear Coldplay at 1 pm. I think if we filled a stadium of people who want to see a matinee of Coldplay. I think we're going to start a trend."
To be frank, many people agree with her on this idea.

"I genuinely agree with her lmao the main thing that stops me from going to more shows is that they go past midnight most of the time," one supporter Tweeted.
"I'm not sure why I've never questioned this myself. Why can't I see a concert during the day?" another wondered.
"She's on to something. Give me a nice 3 p, show. I'll be home before 8," a third chimed in.
Putting on a visually stunning light show is crucial for many concerts, and competing with natural daylight can be challenging.
Despite this, Jamie Lee Curtis won't be skipping the Oscars, as it's an event she's looking forward to attending. During an interview with Today, she said:
"Because the truth of the matter is they start at 5 pm on the west coast which means I'll be on that carpet at 2:30. It'll be late for me but I will be fine."
However, she won't be attending any after-parties.
