Jaden Smith and his mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, have had their differences in the past. For instance, in 2015, 16-year-old Jaden expressed his desire to be allowed to live on his own.

This request came as a shock to Jada, and it broke her heart. However, she still accepted it because she understood that it was inevitable that the boy would have to live on his own at some point. In any case, she knew that the sooner she let him leave, the faster he would be back.

Adrienne, Jaden's grandma, and Jada's mom disagreed with this, but Jada had the final say. She believed her son was mature enough to make this critical decision.

However, Jaden has finally moved out. After leaving his parents' home, he is now in Hidden Hills.

He has a greater appreciation for his parents and his family now, and he sees the logic behind the principles upon which his parents decided to raise a family.

He now realizes that being apart from his family makes him appreciate them more and the quality moments he spent with them. However, he still likes the opportunity to pursue his own goals and dreams without much interference from his family.
