it’s official: jim henson’s ‘dinosaurs’ finally set to return this month

Dinosaurs was a popular '90s show that we watched on TV as kids.

Although it's been decades since it last aired on TV, now we realize that it was touted to be ahead of its time back then.

The big news is that it will return on TV this month.

Hip-hip-hooray! We have a new show that we can't wait to see on the TV screens.

Isn't this announcement like music for the ears of a '90s kid?

Save The Date

It's been decades since the last time we had the opportunity to watch it on TV. After a couple of wobbly announcements from last year, we finally have confirmation.

And it's official - the show will have its return on the Disney+ channel.

Feel free to mark your calendars to save the date because our lucky day will be January 29!

What's This Show About?

If you're still wondering what this show is about, then let's get to the point.

The synopsis on IMDB claims:

"This show follows the life of a family of dinosaurs, living in a modern world. They have televisions, refrigerators, et cetera. The only humans around are cavemen, who are viewed as pets and wild animals."

Why yes, you got everything right.

The Sinclair dinosaur family are the main protagonists in this story. They are just some ordinary dinosaurs, running their errands and earning money to pay their bills.

The working class maybe doesn't earn that much but surely does some honest work.

Get To Know It

Jim Henson was the guy responsible for the hit-show Dinosaurs.

Did you know that this utterly amazing show aired for the first time on ABC on April 26, 1991?

Even 30 years later - how could one forget one of the best shows that marked all of our childhood?

Through the years, the fandom continued growing. The show quickly became one of the most requested titles to be added on Disney+.

Unique

Back then in the early '90s, this show was one of a kind.

It had all the markings of a traditional sitcom, and the dinosaurs were the ultimate spice for its originality.

Announcements All The Way

Brian Henson, the executive producer of the show, recently took a trip down memory lane. He tried explaining how it felt producing the show and what it means to see it back on the screens.

When he was asked if he's excited for the show's return to the big screens, he added:

"I am. Although up until pretty recently it was on Hulu and it has had quite a following on Hulu.

I think the audience will more easily find it on Disney+, which is terrific. It sits very well on Disney+.

When they were divvying up what goes where they eventually decided Dinosaurs should be over on Disney+. I think it'll find a bigger and new audience base on Disney+."

It surely will!

Always Ahead Of Its Time

Even though this show is three decades old, this fact doesn't ruin its value.

People always talked about how Dinosaurs tackled major subjects.

Henson added:

"Yes, we were ahead of our time but isn't it sad that we were having the same issues, not only decade after decade, but generation after generation. It's sad."

For example, it discussed climate change and fake news, which have become two of the most leading concerns of the present.

Time To Be Excited!

The Dinosaurs fans from all over the Internet can't hide their excitement anymore!

The Twitteratis have already begun with their countdown.

Well, how can you NOT love this show?

January will end up just perfect!
