If you think being single is bad, try being in a bad relationship. Take it from me: an unhealthy relationship is much worse; which is why you should avoid it at all costs because it will invite misery and pain into your life.
I say this because I know there are people who think being single is the worst thing ever. And for these folks, being in a bad relationship usually seems like a better option.
The Truth Is Different
Correct me if I'm wrong (though I'm pretty sure I'm not), happiness is the ultimate goal for all of us, right?
So, anything that takes away your joy is worth avoiding. And that includes bad relationships.
And another thing; being single does not automatically mean you have to be unhappy. There are lots of happy single people around.
And it's not that they don't want to be in relationships, but because they know their happiness does not depend on anyone else but themselves.
They have made the choice to be happy and contented with or without a special person in their lives.
Therefore, anyone who comes into their lives and threatens to take this away from them does not belong and is quickly shown the door.
You should have the same perspective.
Understand that singlehood is not a curse and that the wrong relationship is one of the worst kinds of prisons you can live in.
Love Begins With You
You should be happy and fulfilled without anyone else's input. When single, you should invest in yourself and your future.
That is many times better than wasting your time and energy on someone who isn't worth your time.
When it's all said and done, the best kind of relationship you can have is between you and yourself.
For instance, how much do you like yourself? Do you love yourself and what you do and the kind of life you have?
Until you do, you will never have a good relationship with someone else.
This beats sending messages and getting no replies even though you can see that they are reading the messages.
Imagine the emotional anguish of giving your heart to someone who doesn't give a damn. Wouldn't it be better if that time was spent enjoying yourself with a good movie or with your friends?
A Relationship Is A Partnership, Not An Ownership
If someone treats you like a disposable object, then it's your time to leave. Don't be with someone who holds you back instead of making you progress in life.
The sad thing is that we see people putting up with people who cheat on them, abuse them, and make them cry just to avoid being single all the time.
It's the craziest thing ever.
You have to know your worth and say no to toxicity.
Time is precious, and you should never waste it on people who don't deserve it.
One day, you will find someone who supports your dreams and makes you become a better version of yourself. Then you will understand why being in a bad relationship is the craziest thing you could ever do.
A Relationship That's Worth Having Has These Qualities
The person should respect and trust you. There is a world of difference between being in a relationship and having the right person in your life.
Love is a force of liberation. You should not feel caged when you love each other.
So, relationships that limit you and stress you all the time make things worse. But when you are loved by someone unconditionally, you can be yourself without fear of judgment or repercussions.
Until the day comes when you find someone who loves you this much, stay single because that is a much better option.
We should be loved as much as we love. True love is pure, and it nurtures, inspires, liberates, and brings joy into your life.
Without true love from your partner, you are far much better off on your own.
