Let's start with the obvious: pregnancy is a joyous occasion most of the time.
Secondly, if a person has an Instagram account, it's okay to call them an influencer.
Now, our story starts in Russia, with 35-year-old Marina Balmasheva.
Posting about the news with a positive pregnancy test, Ms. Balmasheva said she was "tired of hiding."
And with over 400.000 followers, you bet that everyone had something to say. Most things weren't nice since her baby daddy is her stepson, Vladimir "Vova" Shavyrin.
How does that even work?
Two sides of the story
According to Balmasheva, she fell in love with her 20-year-old stepson after she divorced his dad.
The ex-couple met when Vova was seven, and Marina raised him.
Her ex-husband, Alexey Shavyrin, claims he caught his son and ex wifey in bed.
"I could not fall asleep one night when I heard them having sex. Then I understood that Marina was cheating on me with my son."
"A few minutes later, she just came and lay down next to me. I didn't tell her a word that night."
The ex-husband said he waited weeks before confronting her about the incident.
Either way, Balmasheva shared the news with the caption:
"I know that the deadline is still small. That ultrasound with the heart is yet to come. But I want you to know that. Everything is possible in this world. We are 4 weeks and yes. That is why we decided to get married."
And so they tied the knot
To make matters worse, before announcing the pregnancy, Marina posted a photo of her then-lover, now husband, when he was 7.
Svetlana Nkhshumova commented:
"What shocks me most is that this boy grew up before her very eyes."
Another user stated:
"This is a prank, right? You are teasing?"

If only.
The couple didn't have a big wedding, but Marina did capture it all on her Instagram.
A wedding photo and a video of the couple signing legal documents of marriage have been well received by their followers.

"After the registry office, we dressed in typical wedding attire and enjoyed a nice reception at a local restaurant with several guests."
Marina said that she and Vladimir are no longer speaking to his dad, her ex-husband.
The couple is now expecting a baby and also plans to move to a big city.
Marina is somewhat famous in Russia after she appeared in a documentary where she talked about losing 127 kg.
Now, she's even more recognizable since she made a bold move and married her stepson.
And not only that, she's a mother to be, but imagine the stories that child will hear. And will it call Marina's ex grandpa or something else?
Is any of this even legal?
