Niece Waidhofer, model and influencer with over four million followers on Instagram alone, took away her life after struggling with mental health.

The influencer often talked to her followers about mental struggles. TMZ contacted her family, who said:
"Sadly, Niece took her own life after a long battle with mental health issues."
The 31-year-old was in her home in Houston, Texas, when she committed suicide.
The family also said:
"She was very open with her followers about her struggles, even wanting to help followers who also suffered."

Niece actively tried to help her fans who had similar issues.
TMZ learned that a non-profit, Peace from Niece, would be established to honor the young woman's life. The focus would be on benefiting mental health awareness and providing grants for mental illness research.

The family is proud that Niece did not use her professional photograph, and more importantly, she talked about her experiences. She was not trying to be someone else.
The police source says they got a call from a worried family member who had not heard from Niece for a couple of days. That's when they learned that tragedy had struck.

Waidhofer's fans were also worried since the model and influencer deleted all but three posts on her viral Instagram account. It turned out that she whipped her Instagram only weeks before her suicide.

The family said:
"Niece was more than her struggles. She was beautiful and kind, sensitive and funny, creative and talented, generous and compassionate, thoughtful and challenging. While it is so very painful to say goodbye, we take comfort knowing she is reunited with her father, her three grandparents, her Uncle Rusty, and her beloved Puff; and that she is now free to be herself and, finally, at peace."

May Niece rest in peace, and if you know someone struggling, reach out before it is too late.
