I Look Forward To Meeting “the One”, But In The Meantime, Life Goes On

All my life, I have believed that love is the ultimate goal. That is why I strongly believe in "The One." And one day, I know he will walk into my life. But as I wait for this magical life-changing moment to come, I'm not going to put my life on hold.

In the meantime, I will live my life to the fullest. I'll work, attend school, have fun with friends, and explore life. If this sounds strange, here are my reasons.

1. For Now, I Live

My life is full of joy and happiness, even though I might still not have "The One" by my side. I get that some people go their whole lives without finding this special someone. If God forbid, that turns out to be the case, I don't want to have any regrets. Life is full of great things that can still be enjoyed even without a soulmate by your side.

2. I'm On A Break From Dating

I am not seeing anyone. My focus is my life. But that will not always be the case. I am just not ready for the exhausting process of dating once more.

3. I'm Still Hopeful

I may not be sitting around waiting for "The One" to enter my life, but that does not mean I have no hope that it might happen one day. It's just that I am realistic about my expectations. But I'm also not about to give up on one of the most inspiring dreams of my life.

4. I Go To School, And I Work

I work full time, but I am also doing a part-time course on a subject I love. I would obviously not have adequate focus on these pursuits if my greatest concern and the main focus was finding the right person for me.

5. Who Knows If "The One" Even Exists

It might be all in my head. There is probably nothing like "The One." Maybe I will meet a lot of potentials and pick one. Maybe the idea of the one should not hold people back from meeting other lovers. So, why should I put everything on hold as I wait for a mystical person to enter my life and make it better?

6. I'm Bettering Myself

I want to be the best version of myself I could ever be. I do yoga, and I am active in the community and I work to make the world and myself better. All this is deeply satisfying, and I know I will not have to give it up for the right person. So, that will always be a part of me.

7. I Still Pursue My Hobbies

My hobbies define who I am. I cannot change them for anyone, and the right person would never want me to. So, even though I am yet to find that special someone, I still focus on my hobbies and enjoy them to the fullest.

8. I Weigh The Possibility That I Might Be Single For Some Time

Yes, I am full of hope. But I have also accepted that I may be single for some time now. This is my current situation, and there is no need to drive myself insane thinking about it. But that might change anytime, and I am ready for that if it does.

9. I Have Time For Friends And Family

I should still give those I love my time, regardless of whether or not I have a vibrant romantic life. Actually, the fact that I am single and free gives me more time to do this. I go out with friends and enjoy quality family moments. I'd rather not miss out on all this searching for "The One."

10. There's Still Room For Love

I may not be chasing love like my life depends on it, but it will be welcome in my life if it comes knocking. There's a chance I will meet him when I least expect it. I know it doesn't sound like much of a plan. But it has been known to happen, right? So, the door is wide open if love wants to come into my life.
