No one wants to be unattractive and undesirable. One survey showed that good looks topped the list of what boys most valued in girls.
Girls, on the other hand, are attracted to guys that look good and smell nice. It's no wonder that many ask the question, "How can I make myself more attractive?".
Either as a teenager or an adult, we want to be attractive to and accepted by others. Those in search of a potential partner also want to be able to attract such a person.
With the constant parade of slim, flat-stomach supermodels and muscle-bound actors featured on TV, social media, and magazines, it's easy to fall prey to feeling insecure and inadequate.
Well, you can become more physically attractive, but good looks are short-lived. There is certainly no substitute for an attractive personality. Yes, you can make yourself more attractive, and it isn't just about how you look!
Hoping For The Perfect Body - A Folly

According to the Social Issues Research Centre, "the current media ideal for women is achievable by less than 5% of the female population—and that's just in terms of weight and size. If you want the ideal shape, face, etc., it's probably more like 1%". I guess this says it all.
Do not go to dangerous extremes to achieve the perfect body. It's attainable, only to 1% of the 1%. Here are a few things you can do to not only appear attractive but feel and be, in the true sense, attractive.
Ooze Positive Vibes

In the long run, beauty is a bubble. It's no substitute for having attractive personal qualities and positive vibes.
Vibrate with positive emotions. People can see and feel this. It automatically makes you attractive and approachable. One example of a person who creates positivity with her emotions is our favorite Instagram stars, pictured above. There's a lot to learn from The Oddity.
Also, smile more. A smile is a universal language of kindness. It calls out to others and draws them to you.
Pay Attention To Hygiene And Personal Grooming

It only makes sense to take care of your body through moderate exercise, a balanced diet, and good hygiene. You don't want to be that lady or guy who is beautiful in appearance but has an odor problem.
Hence, bathe often and whiten your teeth. Clean hands, hair, and fingernails can enhance your appearance. Your clothes should be clean and wrinkle-free. Use deodorant and nice perfume or perfume oil.
Learn to wear what enhances your looks. Your shape and size should help determine what will suit you in terms of hair and dress style. You might not have the greatest looks, but you can work with what you've got.
Tip: Want to be easily noticed? Wear red or a touch of it - red lipstick always does the trick.
Be Confident

Confidence is attractive. Not only in how you speak but even in how you walk, stand, or sit.
Am I talking power poses? Well, power poses might be attractive to some but, that isn't always the case. It can easily be misinterpreted to portray pride, domination, and arrogance. Be on the safer side by avoiding them.
Instead, lift your chin, pull in your shoulder, and walk as you own it. Be and feel confident.
Cultivate Your Sense Of Humor

Hugh Sidney said, "A sense of humor is needed armor. Joy, in one's heart and some laughter on one's lips, is a sign that the person down deep has a pretty good grasp of life". Who doesn't want to be friends with that?
Humor attracts and keeps friends. With a sense of humor, you are approachable and appealing. Don't take life too seriously. It's already hard as it is.
When you make it a point to smile and overturn distressing situations with your sweet sense of humor, trust me, you will be attractive to a lot of people because you're like a much-needed but scarce commodity.
Your Manners And Social Skills

According to Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, "a welcoming set of manners is like a passport, allowing freedom and access to people." So, if you want to be accepted by others, pay attention to your manners, and learn to extend the courtesy.
How you relate with older people, your peers, and kids tell a lot about you. Dealing with them also helps you develop confidence as you learn to interact differently.
Acquire knowledge and experience. This way, you are not caught off-guard when asked questions. Being able to answer intelligently is attractive. Saying you don't know but will like to on a topic makes you even more appealing. Who wants an arrogant know-it-all or a know-naught?
Love Yourself

Learn to love yourself. I'm not saying 'be selfish'; that's unattractive. I'm saying, do not think too little or too much of yourself.
Love yourself enough to feel good about yourself while not stepping on others. Let your inner beauty radiate. You don't need plastic surgery or liposuction to feel good about who you are and what you have to offer.
Never compare yourself to others in a quest to bring yourself down. Comparison steals joy.
You are amazing, beautiful, smart, kind, with a whole lot more to offer than looks. What's beauty without brains? What's beautiful but shallow and conceited?
The moment you learn to settle in your skin and carry yourself as if you own it, you'll feel happier, and that contagious smile that stems from that satisfaction is all shades of attractive.
