This hotel makes its guests do an escape room challenge before checking in.
For those who like puzzles and a bit of adventure, The Clockwork Hotel in Burnham-on-Crouch might be just the place for you.
The hotel in Essex has a unique check-in procedure that requires its guests to take an escape room challenge to track the keys to their rooms.
Working as a team, guests must solve puzzles and find clues across the hotel floors and discover secrets.
As you solve the crystal-maze challenge, a countdown ticks away in the background. And once you and your team finish the escape room, the hotel will treat you to a three-course meal prepared by a private chef.

Booking is available for a minimum of 16 people and a maximum of 22. The costs are £110 ($147) per head Sunday through Thursday while £150 ($200) on Friday and Saturday.
There's also a two-night package costing £175 ($233) and £250 ($333) per person.
These prices include exclusive hire of the entire hotel for one night, complete with the one-hour immersive experience and a three-course dinner. Guests also get a glass of bubbly on arrival and an additional cocktail.

The hotel also offers a 'midweek meet-up' package for £30 ($40) per person or evening parties for £60 (80) per person.
The Clockwork Hotel website states:
"What would you do if you were handed the keys to your own hotel for a night?"
"Invite all your friends for a big dinner party, play the bartender, sip cocktails, snoop around the rooms, have the spa to yourselves... But here's the catch, you have to find the keys first!
"You have one hour, and the clock is ticking."
"Solve challenges and work together to unlock your own hotel. Discover rooms and hidden secrets and follow clues to win the ultimate prize!"
If you're worried about whether the experience will be a bit tricky, the hotel promises 'fun, Crystal Maze style puzzles while you race around the hotel in teams.'
If you don't manage to track down your key, fear not, as the hotel will still allow you to stay. The challenge is, therefore, just for fun and improving mystery-solving skills.
Relaxation areas include a living room with a log burner and a cocktail bar.

There's also a hot tub and sauna to warm you up.

In the morning, a breakfast hamper is available to purchase as an extra.
And it seems the hotel is amassing positive reviews from guests.
