Macaulay Culkin and his partner, the former Disney Channel star Brenda Song are now parents! It's impressive that they managed to keep the pregnancy a secret. Culkin's representative confirmed the baby's birth to E! News.
The baby boy was born on April 5 in Los Angeles. He weighed 6 lbs and 14 oz. His parents named him Dakota Song Culkin after Macaulay's sister who died after a car accident in 2008.
"We are overjoyed" says the new parents. According to a press release, both mother and baby are fine.
Culkin And Song's Romance
Their relationship came to light in 2017. They tried as much as possible to keep their relationship away from the spotlight they enjoy and endure as stars. They, though, did appear on each other's social media platforms over the years.
In 2018, Culkin shared one of his wants on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, saying he would like to start a family with Song. He said, "This one's a good one, so I'm probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit. I mean, we've definitely been practicing." And that he did, baby Dakota is proof.
Song also publicly expressed her affection for Culkin on his 40th birthday in 2020. She paid tribute to the former child star, calling him a "magical being."
In an Instagram post she penned in August 2020, she wrote:
"I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant, and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you. But firstly, that would take me an entirety and secondly, you won't even see this because you don't ever use Instagram. Hahaha. My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am the luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you."
A hearty congratulations to the new parent!
