Duff also thanked the photographer Danielle Midenge "for capturing a moment in time where I felt both completely vulnerable but powerful."
She included her trainer, Dominic Leeder, expressing appreciation for "getting me motivated every day and in great shape."
Hilary Opens Up About Eating Disorders
In the cover story, the 34-year-old opened up about struggling with eating disorders since she was 17. She spoke about accepting her body after each pregnancy, saying:
"I think that at 34, I have just gained a lot of respect for my body."
"It's taken me all of the places I need to go. It's helped me build a beautiful family. I feel like the older I get, the more confident I get in my own skin. And my body's been many different shapes and sizes, and I'm really just fascinated by, one, being a woman. And two, all the changes that your body can go through throughout your lifetime."
Hilary's first child, Luca, is now 10, and his father is Micael Comrie.
She then married Matthew Koma, and they have two children, Banks, three, and Mae, who recently turned one.
Duff Also Talked About Mental Health And Therapy
The actress said that going to therapy helped her as she could talk about anything without feeling judged. She added, "I love my therapist, and I always feel better when I leave."
The actress stated she did not have significant obstacles in her mental health, but like others, "I have my issues, my insecurities, pain."
Therapy helped Hilary, and she tries to see her therapist via Zoom at least twice a month, more if she feels she needs it.
She added that "just talking and having the right people around you that can truly listen when you need them to, [and] taking space for yourself."
Hilary encourages her oldest child to say if he ever feels he needs a therapist, and she firmly believes that "a healthy mind is a healthy body."
Duff concluded that we "bust our ass to get our bodies in shape and to look the best we can. We get facials and Botox and our hair done and highlights and brows and lash lifts and all this shit. But I want to work on the inside. That's the most important part of the system."
