Personally, these words have a lot of power, which is why they are so unforgettable for me.

These Words Are Also Very True. Sitting With The Broken Matters More

Think of all the famous people you know throughout history. Although all were considered great because they were in positions of power and influence, how many of them are worth emulating?

Among them are dictators and ruthless business people. The sort of people the world would hate you for if you got too close. Even today, these people exist.

Also, consider all the people of influence who have defied the tides of time and stood out as shining beacons of hope for humanity.

We have the messiahs, prophets, and deeply altruistic individuals such as Mother Theresa. Jesus Christ is still spoken about today in glowing terms because he stooped down to hear the needs of the broken.

People the society did not want anything to do with, Jesus didn't mind sharing a meal with. He even warned about people who pursue material wealth at all costs.

We Revere These People For A Reason

They made sacrifices, and not for the big and mighty, but for common people. In fact, if you look closely, they did not sacrifice for normal people, but people who were broken and with no one to help them.

They had all the influence and power they needed to become great and powerful people with lots of wealth. But they put aside these ambitions to cater to the needs of the broken.

I Like This Spirit

Many people think trying to praise the big and mighty is the way to go. But to me, being helpful to someone who needs you is what's important.

Those above you don't need you, you need them. They should use their power to help the broken and those under their influence.

On your part, you should stand with the broken who can truly benefit from your assistance.

Caring For The Broken Matters

The gap between the rich and the poor continues to grow. Greed, unsurprisingly, is also on the rise.

But there are also people with big hearts. They don't always have much, but they go to a lot of lengths to heal the brokenhearted and give hope to the desolate through simple acts of mercy and kindness.

They give their time and resources, and through their actions they change lives.

Then we have people who have been fortunate enough to get all the good things this life can give them, but they still focus on themselves. They still exploit those beneath them to accumulate more wealth.

Such People Will Have No Time For The Broken

After all, what can they offer them? Their desire is for people who can benefit them in one way or another.

That's why, like Sue, I give less regard to people who brag about their connections in high places. It does not matter to me if you have rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous.

But if you have sat with the poor and needy. Comforted the sick and hopeless in their beds. Gone out of your way to alleviating someone's suffering. Or lifting the downtrodden, then we can walk together. We have a lot to share.

Incredible people whose actions can reverberate throughout history are those who care for people most of the world ignores.
