You've probably seen married couples shopping for furniture to refurbish their new home. But this grandpa and his particularly adorable shopping companion are melting people's hearts online.
If you own a small pooch, chances are he or she loves to sit close to you on your favorite chair. And the dog never leaves your side.
That's particularly the case for this grandpa and his adorable pooch, named Coco.

In an interview with The Dodo, the man's granddaughter, Aleecia Dahl, explained the grandpa's friendship with the dog.
She said:
"Coco is the dog Grandpa never wanted but cannot live without. They are the best of friends that he never knew he needed."
It's safe to say Coco and Grandpa are simply inseparable, and we can see why.
When not out on some adventure, you can often find the sweet pair lounging together in their favorite chair.
Aleecia told the outlet that her grandfather recently needed to buy a new chair.
Since he wanted his beloved dog to be comfortable, he decided to bring Coco to his shopping endeavor.
The grandpa needed a chair with a footrest large enough to accommodate them both.
He actually made Coco participate in the decision process, refusing to buy any recliner his furry friend didn't approve.
Aleecia explained:
"When grandma and grandpa moved, they [needed to buy] new furniture."
"It was Grandpa's requirement that the footrest on his lounge chair was wide enough for him and Coco to sit side by side."
She added:
"He brought Coco into several stores to try out chairs until he found the perfect one."
"Coco was always greeted with a smile, as I am sure it's not every day a man and his dog go furniture shopping!"
"She's his little best friend."
Luckily, they managed to find what they were looking for.

They eventually bought a comfortable chair that could accommodate them both for many years to come.
Aleecia also posted photos of the dynamic duo trying out chairs in a furniture store on social media.
And the pictures have been shared thousands of times—and it's not hard to see why.

Indeed, it's pretty darn adorable.
Pets are among human's best companions as they improve the quality of our lives.
According to research, they can help reduce stress and lower blood pressure. They can improve our social interactions and boost physical activity.
Pets can also impact the lives of people suffering from depression and loneliness.
In fact, over 40 percent of seniors claim that their lives are lonely and barren, according to a recent study. And having a pet can fill that emptiness.
This is why encouraging them to adopt pets could significantly improve their well-being.
