French daredevil Remi Lucidi, known by his alias "Remi Enigma," tragically met his demise after falling from the 68th floor of a tower in Hong Kong. The incident occurred at the Tregunter Tower complex, where the 30-year-old was believed to have fallen while attempting to scale the building.

According to local authorities, Lucidi arrived at the tower in the evening, purportedly to meet a friend on the 40th floor. However, instead of proceeding to that floor, he allegedly took the elevator to the 49th floor and then ascended the stairs to the building's summit.

Reported by The Independent, it is speculated that Lucidi became trapped when he moved to the exterior of the building. Allegedly, he began knocking on a window in desperation, startling a maid nearby, before tragically losing his footing and falling to his demise.

Hotel staff mentioned that the security guard attempted to verify Lucidi's claim of visiting a friend on the 40th floor, but Lucidi had already entered the elevator before more information could be obtained.

The last sighting of the stuntman was at approximately 7:30 p.m. on July 27, 2023, outside the window of the penthouse on the 68th floor. Shortly after, local authorities received a report about a gas leak at the building. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of the 30-year-old man, which had apparently damaged a gas pipe upon impact.

During the investigation, officials recovered a French identification card and a sports camera from the deceased, containing footage of some of Lucidi's previous extreme stunts.

As reported by the New York Post, law enforcement has refrained from officially determining the cause of death. However, they suggested it was unlikely to be suicide, as no suicide note or other indications were found with Lucidi.

Gurjit Kaur, the proprietor of the hostel where Lucidi was said to have been staying, described him as a "friendly and humble guy."

"He was healthy and fit and happy-faced," Kaur said. "I feel very sad."

A different hostel employee mentioned having conversed with Lucidi on multiple occasions during his visit. Lucidi was purportedly in Hong Kong for vacation purposes.

"He told me he was going to hike a mountain when I asked where he was going," the worker said. "He said he wanted to hike a lot when he was here."

Following the news of Lucidi's passing, his admirers expressed their grief on various social media platforms. His final Instagram post depicted the nighttime skyline of Hong Kong.
