Elon Musk and James Franco were allegedly subpoenaed to testify in the libel case between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

The Tesla owner and the actor were court-ordered to "produce the books, records, electronically stored information and tangible things designated and described including "verbal conversations, telephone calls, letters, emails, memoranda [and] reports," by January 17, 2022.

The deposition of Elon Musk is scheduled for January 24, 2022, while Franco's is set for January 26th.

Us Magazine shared light on the news:

"The documents request that any communications between the men and Heard, 35, relating to allegations of physical injuries or harm sustained by her as a result of alleged conduct by Depp, 58, and allegations of physical abuse or domestic violence committed by either party be turned over."

Elon Musk and Amber Heard dated after her separation from Johnny Depp. The two were on and off between 2016 and 2018.

James Franco and Amber Heard filmed The Adderall Diaries in 2015, while Heard was still married to Depp.

In the past, Musk avoided getting in the middle of the battle of the exes. The relationship between Musk and Amber was caught on CCTV in Johnny Depp's apartment. This was before they went public with their relationship, though the footage was released later.

Franco, allegedly, visited Heard in Depp's apartment while Depp was away.

The 50 million dollar defamation suit seems to be Johhny Depp's last chance at clearing his name, and, as he stated:

"Ultimately, the truth will come out in all of this and I will be standing on the right side of the roaring rapids. I hope other people will be too. I will never stop fighting. I'll never stop."

Despite pleading they were both at fault after finalizing their divorce, Depp lost numerous roles, and in an op-ed, Amber Heard once again accused Depp of abuse.

This led to The Sun calling him a "wife-beater" and painting Amber Heard as a face of domestic abuse. What do you think Elon Musk and James Franco will reveal? Will it be the first big win for Depp, or will Amber Heard, once again, come out of the courtroom as a winner?
