Former Pro Golfer Paige Spiranac Slams Logan Paul After Fans Send Her Death Threats

Instagram golf star Paige Spiranac revealed Logan Paul’s followers sent her death threats after she called out the YouTuber for filming the body of a suicide victim.

In one of her latest Apple podcast, Spiranac said she ‘hates’ Paul ever since she received death threats from his fans.

She also dubbed Paul’s upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather a ‘money grab.’

She said:

“It’s a money grab. There is going to be so much money thrown for that fight.”

“It’s insane that people actually want to see this happening.”

“It’s insane to see someone with a YouTube following or social following can make this happen.”

“It just shows how powerful that young demographic that everyone is reaching out to get now, and the fact that people are talking about this is mind-blowing to me.”

In the podcast, Spiranac explained that she received death threats shortly after she gave an anti-bullying talk in 2018 at a school.

It came in the weeks after Paul posted a video showing himself and his friends at the Aokigahara forest at the base of Mount Fuji, Japan.

As they entered the forest, the group comes across a man’s body.

While expressing shock, Paul also proceeded to make jokes, laughing.

After the video circulated online, viewers branded Paul ‘disrespectful’ and ‘disgusting’ for his ignorance.

Spiranac explained:

“I did an anti-bullying talk at a school. And it was right after Logan Paul filmed a guy committing suicide in this forest.”

“It was a huge controversy, and they asked what I thought about it.”

“I said, ‘If you have a large following of a younger viewing audience, you have to be careful with the content that you put out there.”

“And I think [YouTube or his sponsors should have] punished him, or there needed to be some form of consequence bigger than what he got.”

“And I ended up receiving DEATH THREATS by all of these kids in that high school. They were defending Logan Paul… So ever since then, I have hated him.”

“Because if that’s the fan base he has, where you criticize him, you literally going to have people attack you. Not just silly stupid schoolboy bullying but horrible, horrible things. I just don’t think they are really good people.”

Shortly after receiving backlash for the ‘disrespectful’ video, Paul released an apology.

He said at the time:

“I’ve made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgment, and I don’t expect [forgiveness]. I’m simply here to apologize.”

“I’ve made a huge mistake. I don’t expect to be forgiven… I’m ashamed of myself. I am disappointed.”
