Cops bust a woman carrying cocaine in her purse, but she claims the wind must have blown it there.

Fort Pierce police stopped a swerving car and questioned the two passengers in it. Kennecia Posey, from Florida, was one of the passengers.

While interrogating her, one of the officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the car.

And after a search, the officer found bags of marijuana, and cocaine in separate bags in a purse Posey had in her lap.

She Confessed the Marijuana was Hers Pretty Quickly

Although Posey admitted the marijuana was hers, she said she didn't know anything about the cocaine.

When the officers pressed her further to admit the drug was hers, she repeatedly said she had no idea where it came from.

The station quoted her saying in a police report:

I don't know anything about any cocaine.

It's a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse.

But Why Blame the Coke on the Wind but Fess Up to the Weed?

If you figured that the cop might buy your story about a fateful wind blowing some coke into your purse, why not just double down and blame the weed on the flurry, too?

Just make some quick mental calculations about the wind draft and weight of your drugs.

Police will never buy your trick that wind picked a bag of weed up, it's too heavy—but the coke? This is just powder. You get it?

To be honest, that logic is probably sound.

You can also argue that this woman fessed up to marijuana because the narcotic has much heftier legal implications.

Police, however, didn't believe Posey's tale about a magical wind gifting her a stash of coke through the car window.

They Arrested Her on Drug Possession Charges

The cops booked her into the St. Lucie County jail on one felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession.

She later posted bail, and cops released her.

Just recently, police arrested another man in Florida after he claimed the wind blew a coke baggie into his car, the New York Post reported.

Joseph Zak was busted trying to throw something away when cops pulled him over for failing to stop at a Stop sign.

After searching his car, the cops found a crack pipe in the center console as well as a baggie of crack cocaine.

When the officers asked him about the baggie, Zack said that it didn't belong to him. He added that 'wind must have placed it there.'
