Sexual offenders are under the purview of the state, and any time they commit a crime, they are given a sentence to serve more time. The way law works — someone that has been offended is never allowed to take action on their own as this can be risky. Instead, they will be asked to report the crime to the authorities who then arrest the said offenders and deliver them before a judge in court for deliberation.
However, this was not the case for the Florida man who was caught attempting to burn down a motel with the intention of killing sexual offenders. The man was arrested for the said crime, and even though he was unable to torch down the hotel, he still had the intention murder which is the reason for his jailing. Some of the offenders are well known by the authorities and are said to have fled from the motel when the suspect tried to kill them.
