First Look At The Matrix: Resurrections Has Been Released

First Look At The Matrix: Resurrections Has Been Released

Matrix fans are pretty excited that the first few clips on the new Matrix movie are out. The clips precede the release of the eagerly awaited trailer later in the week.

Warner Bros. shared a few stills and an especially short clip from the next Matrix movie, a beloved sci-fi classic.

The new film is named The Matrix: Resurrections, and it is intended to be in cinemas on December 22nd. However, even with the fast-approaching launch date, little is known about its plot.

If you are curious about the movie, you can always check out its website, where you can choose between a red and a blue pill.

Your choice will determine (along with the time you are on the site) the footage you will see from the movie. Allegedly, there are 180,000 possible outcomes.

So, what you will see after your choices are anyone's guess.

An example of one of the variations has the unmistakable voice of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. He says:

"This is the moment for you to show us what is real. Right now you believe it's… [the current time at your location]… but that couldn't be further from the truth. Could be this is the first day of the rest of your life, but if you want it, you gotta fight for it."

In another clip, a voice asks:

"Do you remember how you got here? You've lost your capacity to discern reality from fiction. What's real is here and now [time]."

The voice, which could possibly be that of an agent, goes on to explain that everything else could be "your mind playing tricks on you." The voice then says it is a problem when fantasies put us in danger because we don't want anybody to get hurt.

The moments are taken from short sections of the movie.

They include a clip of Neo (Keanu Reeves) getting into a scrap, another clip of a helicopter going up in flames, a scene of Jonathan Groff's mouth melting, and Abdul-Mateen looking surprised while looking into a mirror, among countless others.

The list of possible scenes goes on and on.

Based on this special setup, it looks like you could possibly watch all the snippets by the time they release the movie. According to reports, a section of the trailer was shown for the first time during this year's Comic-Con.

However, there is no assurance that this is the same trailer fans will be seeing once Warner Bros. releases the official trailer in a few days.

The one apparent thing is that time has taken its toll on Neo, and for some reason, he is using his old name, Thomas Anderson.

According To Keanu Reeves, The Next Matrix Movie Will Be "Something Special"

While speaking to the media last year, Keanu Reeves claimed that the fourth Matrix film in the series would be 'something special.' He explained that they had a lot of hope and ambition and hoped that fans would really enjoy the film.

Although he admitted that he had not watched the movie yet as they were still working on it at the time, he had nothing but praise for Lana Wachowski, whom he described as an 'incredible filmmaker and artist' who had come up with a 'wonderful script.'

"We are doing out darnedest to make something special, and the same goes for John Wick, we hope that we can create a really satisfying and enjoyable next chapter."

Needless to say, we can't wait to see the fourth installment of one of the most famous sci-fi series in the world.
