Jodie Leigh Fox, from Brentwood in Essex, is a 24-year-old bus driver. The young woman is clearly stunning, and this is a significant issue in her chosen career.
For Jodie, this is her dream job, and she was thrilled when she landed it three years ago. Ever since she's been hearing "she is too pretty."
Her career started after she saw an ad when she was 21. Since then, she learned to drive buses, coaches, and even limousines. While driving is her thing, she never had a friendly coworker.
Instead of dwelling over her beauty, Jodie is ready to fight the stereotypes. Despite a lack of support from her colleagues and male passengers, Jodie Leigh Fox took over to social media and built a considerable following.
She shared her experience regarding discrimination in the workplace:
"People have said that I'm too pretty to be a bus driver, but I get some nice comments from other females complimenting me and my nails or my hair and make-up."
Her appearance and youth have also made it difficult for her to socialize with colleagues, Jodie claims.
"There are no females around a similar age of mine."
Speaking about her popularity on TikTok, Jodie Leigh Fox said:
"I didn't think I would blow up the way I have. I have posted videos before but not in a work uniform, and it wasn't until I posted that I was a bus driver that people went mad for it."
Jodie added that she loves her job and hopes she will work as a driver until she retires.
Her love for driving is something she was born with:
"I would always sit near the front near the driver, and I loved driving, so I made the dream come to life."
We are glad that this young woman made her dreams come true. As for being too pretty, Jodie is not the first or the last woman facing this issue, so our advice would be "let them eat cake!"
