There is no doubt that Britney Spears has some of the most loyal fans. As soon as she posted a nude photo on her Instagram, Spears' supporters were quick to jump to her defense.

The 40-year-old singer is finally free from her 13-year-long conservatorship. She is in control over most aspects of her life, including social media. So, when Britney posted a nude photo, minus the white stockings, her nearly 40 million Instagram fans were confused.

Brintey completed her look with a white lace choker, messy hair, and the caption "free woman energy has never felt better."

Twitter fans jumped in, saying why Britney is showing her nude photos. One user recalled the infamous paparazzi moment:

"Reminder - Britney LITERALLY had her genitals posted in newspapers all over the world without her consent."

Another said:

"So for her to share naked photos now that she's FREE and on her own terms is a power move. She's taking control, and I love that for her."

More supporters of the Toxic singer came out with valid arguments:

"People loved seeing Britney Spears naked when it was creepy paps stalking her or her family/management controlling her and forcing her to do so but when it's of her own free will..."

And another Twitter user mentioned the Free Britney movement:

"It was 'Free Britney' not, 'Free Britney unless I don't like what she's doing.' If she wants to get naked on Instagram, good for her."
