After Insider published an allegation of sexual misconduct, Elon Musk tweeted his response, saying that the claims were false and politically motivated.

The allegations came from a friend of a flight attendant on Space X. The allegations stated that Musk asked her for a massage, then showed himself to her, and offered to buy her gifts for sexual favors.

Among the offered gifts was a horse.

The friend also told Insider that SpaceX paid her $250,000 in 2018 as a severance payment, ensuring she signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Musk briefly tweeted that " for the record, those wild accusations are utterly untrue."

He also wrote that this was politically motivated after he said he was switching his support from Democratic to Republican candidates.

A day before the allegations, Musk wrote: "Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold."

He named a scandal Elongate, as he believes he has nothing to worry about.

The world's wealthiest man also thinks that this might be a way "to interfere with the Twitter acquisition."

Space publication said that Insider asked for Musk's comment before publishing the story.
