Ellen is popular for pulling pranks on guests who come to her show, and Kim Kardashian is famous for her fear of spiders.

The controversial show host decided to present the reality TV star with a terrarium while saying a spider was in it.

The joke was so scary for Kim that she walked off the stage.

Following the stunt, Ellen's audience started to accuse her of disrespecting Kim's boundaries.

During the show, Kim said that her favorite moment was seeing her mom Kris Jenner fall over after she was scared by a zombie in 2018. She also said, "I like to get scared."

Kim also talked about a trip she had recently taken to a haunted house with Andy, one of the producers of The Ellen show.

She then started looking around the studio, expecting that she might be pranked at any time.

However, Ellen reassured her that he had no intention of scaring her before saying, "But I do wanna help you get over something because you're scared —"

At this point, Kim was immediately aware of what Ellen was talking about and started saying, "No! no, no, no."

Ellen then told her, "you're scared of spiders." Kim was still in shock and said, "You're not doing this to me. I'm never gonna get over it."

The show host did not stop but said that the spider was not loose. She said this while lifting the terrarium.

Kim was certain that there was a spider in the terrarium, and she quickly jumped out of her seat and started shouting:

"No! No, we've been through this before. I don't care - I don't care to get over my fear. I don't care."

Ellen continued to ignore Kim's requests and suggested holding it before she pretended that she was throwing the spider at her.

Kim yelled, "stop."

After that, Ellen tried to tell Kim that "it's not real," but clearly, Kim had reached her limits. She said goodbye to everyone and left.

Following the incident, fans were not happy with Ellen, and one of them asked her why she thought it was funny to torture others based on their fears for her amusement. The person went on to say that they felt embarrassed for her and claimed she could do better.

Many people felt that Ellen violated Kim's boundaries and commended Kim for taking off.
