Action speaks louder than words, and this heartwarming story will make you shed a tear.
Shared initially on TikTok, the video shows the boyfriend shaving his head after first shaving his girlfriend’s.
Eva is a French law student from Monaco with alopecia, which causes bald patches and severe hair loss. She knew that it was time to shave her head again, but she had no idea that her boyfriend will follow.
Act of love
Eva asked her boyfriend to help her and made a TikTok video of the process.
After months of wing my hair for the first time in 10 years, I had to ask my boyfriend to shave my head again… the first time was my granddad.
The video shows Eva sitting as her boyfriend thoughtfully buzzes off her strands of hair, taking time to do it thoroughly. Eva appears to be sad and seldom distracted from time to time, but nevertheless firm and stoic.
Plot twist: instead of leaving his girlfriend hanging, this young man shaved his head.
The emotional and warm ending of the video left people in tears. After seeing her boyfriend shaving, Eva breaks down into tears, and the video ends with the pair kissing and hugging.
Celebrities were crying as well
This act of love and a wholesome story touched the hearts of some of the biggest names worldwide.
Ben Stiller, Kathy Griffin, and Seth Green were in tears: “More tissues please. More,” commented Kathy. “Humans’ capacity for love and compassion is unrivaled,” added the actor Seth Green.
People on Twitter loved the video so much that it got over 17 million views. But, there’s more to it.
Women with alopecia appreciated Eva’s honesty and bravery.
And it started more stories about people losing their hair and shaving their heads due to cancer treatments.
