However, the reception of his different look was not as warm as he'd hoped or expected.

The musician from Toronto is busy promoting his new album - 'Certified Lover Boy' - and reckoned he'd share a selfie to show off what a lover boy he is.

His new hairstyle featured the 'Certified Lover Boy' heart shape and although it looked cute, folks weren't all that impressed.

Online Mockery

The photo was seen by fans and haters alike, and they all had something to say.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the compliments that Drake likely hoped would be pouring in.

In fact, the photo was met with ridicule and funny comments at his expense.

After seeing all the negative attention, the singer deleted the post and probably tried to forget the whole thing.

Of course, screenshots of the post were taken and shared so there's no way that it will be forgotten.

Many social media users compared Drake's look to that of the famous pop singer, Justin Bieber.

We have to say, they're not wrong. The hairstyle does look like it was inspired by the Biebs.

Why The Snickering?

It's not quite clear just why people were making fun of Drake. Sure, the hairstyle looks a bit strange on him but maybe they just need to get used to it.

Justin has many fans, and being compared to him is not at all that bad.

It's not like people are still in that phase where they thought the 'Baby' singer is a manchild.

Fans who liked Drake's new look are hoping that the jabs didn't upset him too much and cause him to shave off his hair or something.
