How many times have you wasted your energy on people who are not worth your time? If you are like me, your answer is probably “a lot.”
But it’s high time you open your eyes and see the possibility of having a more fulfilling life by letting go of people who don’t make you a priority in their lives.
And when you come to think of it, life is too short to waste it on people who have no intention of seeing you as a serious part of their life.
There is simply no reason to waste your time on people who don’t care about you. Spend it with people who do value you.
If someone is worth it to you, you should be worth it to them. Any healthy relationship is founded on mutual connection, respect, and love.
And if you are not getting this out of your relationship, then things need to change.
I think everyone understands the agony of having to let go of someone you held in such high regard. This is especially devastating when you had decided to chase your life goals together.
But however far you had gone in your relationship journey, if the person does not see you as a priority, it is high time you let them go because you are wasting too much time and energy on someone who will disappoint you eventually.
Even if you give up everything for him, if he has little regard for who you are, he is still not worth it, and you should let him go. It might be heartbreaking, yes, but it is necessary because eventually, you will be much better off for taking this bold step.
And if what lies ahead is what worries you, know that you will finally see things clearly and realize that you broke out of a prison that held you back in every aspect of your life.
You only need to decide not to waste any more of your time on people who don’t give a damn about you. That energy should be spent on things that bring something positive into your life. After all, no one has unlimited energy that they can go around wasting on undeserving people or situations.
Don’t waste your precious energy on people who don’t deserve it.
Instead, preserve it for people who actually matter. Doing anything else will only drain you and keep you from enjoying being with people who are actually worth your time and energy.
You should not expect anyone to come and save you from a relationship with the wrong guy, either. This has to be your decision. Only you know what is good for you. Understand that it’s not selfish to expect the love you give to others to come back to you.
And once you get into such a relationship, you will realize how smart of a decision you made to part ways with a guy who never made you a priority in their lives.
When it’s all said and done, my hope for you is that you muster the courage to let go of the guy who gives you less than you deserve. And best of all, I hope that all the personal dreams and hopes you hold dear will be fulfilled in the mutually-loving relationship you finally get into after getting this uncaring and undeserving guy out of your life.
