Dolly Parton Finds "little Ways" To Keep The Romance Alive With Husband Carl Dean

Dolly Parton and her husband, Carl Dean, have been married for 56 years.

The 76-year-old country musician opened up about the secret to a happy marriage after over five decades.

According to legendary Dolly Parton, "you find little ways."

While promoting her new business deal with Duncan Hines, Parton told UsWeekly:

"Like last year on his birthday, I dressed up in my Playboy bunny suit, made him breakfast, and [ran] around in that for a little while."

That sounds interesting. Parton further explained that "most people can keep a marriage going strong if you make a little effort."

The superstar added that some people get lazy and don't think about the little things, "like leaving the toiled sit up."

The couple tied the knot in 1966, and apart from "feeding him well," Dolly added that the two generally enjoy each other's company.

Dolly added:

"We're able to, like, solve any problems and any situation, making a joke about it and not letting it get too heavy, but we respect each other, and we like each other. We lucked up, let's put it that way."

The country music legend has partnered with Duncan Hines on a new line of Southern-inspired treats. She shared that she "never followed a recipe in my life," but she always puts on a little fun outfit for Valentine's day.

The songwriter, singer, actress, and author, has a new novel Run, Rose, Run, and she believes it will be a movie one day.

The novel and Dolly Parton x Duncan Hines line of cake mixes and frostings will be out in March.

Until then, if you want to keep the spark alive, feed your partner, and throw effort into your looks and all the small things you can do not to annoy them.
