In a heartwrenching post, one of the biggest soccer players in history, Cristiano Ronaldo, announced that his partner Georgina had lost one of their twins. The tragedy, most likely, happened during childbirth.
The father of five shared a candid, heartbreaking post on Monday. Since he posted it, many have left touching comments, while some opened up about their experiences and grief.
Georgina And Ronaldo Announced They Were Expecting Twins In October
Ronaldo and his long-term partner, the mother of Alana, Ronaldo's three-year-old daughter, reported they were having twins last fall.
Christiano Ronaldo's older children are son Cristiano Jr., 11, and twins Eva and Mateo, 4.
In a sweet selfie, the couple posed with ultrasound photos, as the caption wrote:
"Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love - we can't wait to meet you."
Spanish news outlets reported that the soccer player is "very excited" to watch his family grow.
Yet, despite all the luck and love Christiano has, the couple lost a baby.

In the latest post, the soccer star expressed grief over the loss of their baby boy.
He pointed out that there is comfort in having a new member, a baby girl.

The soccer superstar, 37, and Georgina Rodriguez, 28, did not reveal details regarding the baby's death.
Ronaldo's sister Katia Aveiro released an emotional letter which wrote, "our little angel is already on daddy's lap," in reference to their father, Denis.
He passed away in 2005 after a battle with alcoholism when Ronaldo was 20.
