The photographer captures hilarious photos of junkie cats tripping on catnip.
Nowadays, nearly everyone is obsessed with animals. Social media is full of photos of cute and adorable pets, and we just can't get enough.
Andrew Martilla is an animal photographer who was once allergic to cats.
He's now a confessed crazy cat man and has been featured in hundreds of publications, articles, and galleries.
He's the mastermind behind adorably professional photos for the book Shop Cats of New York.
This photographer has recently finished a cat project, which shows kittens who love catnip.

And their silly and expressive personalities as they react to their catnip trip and turn into free-loving, saucer-eyed pussycats.

Delightful, elegant Fluffy transforms into a hell-bent renegade. Shy, reserved Mittens, becomes a free-loving acrobat.

In the blink of an eye—under catnip influence—a cat's expression transforms from bored to inquisitive to playful to curious to bizarre . . . to utterly unhinged.

Catnip is a perennial herb and completely safe for cats. It lasts just a few minutes and affects each cat differently.
Compiled into a book titled "CATS ON CATNIP," the hilarious photo series is available on Amazon and in bookstores.
It's a collection that celebrates felines: silly cats, acrobatic cats, playful cats, and funny cats.

Andrew wrote on Bored Panda:
"Hi, I am Andrew, and I am known as an Animal Photographer who is well-recognized for heart-touching images of felines. While I have been completely allergic to cats, I presently live with my girlfriend with three cats."
"Anyways, I just completed a project focused on cats' love for the green stuff, and likewise, I already had a book which came on June 19th titled CATS ON CATNIPS."
"Having launched for the book, I then decided to share a few snapshots from it – specifically for those who haven't seen the book. But FYI, the book was filled with so much fun, and I hope you enjoy a sneak peek from it."
His CATS ON CATNIP collection has garnered enormous praise from millions of cat lovers online.
One person wrote:
"Cats on Catnip lets us see cats in a whole new light -- and it is absolutely hysterical! I roar with laughter over their huge eyes and lashing tongues during these freeze-framed freakouts."
Another said:
"There's nothing funnier than seeing your furry friend gacked out on catnip. Andrew's shots capture it all so perfectly!"
