It's raining cats and dogs makes no sense. But its snowing chocolate is a far more realistic scenario. It happened in the Swiss town Olten due to a glitch at the Lindt factory.
Mishap or a miracle?

The chocolate factory's explanation sounds good enough.
Its ventilation wasn't working correctly, and the day was windy. It was a perfect combination that spread the chocolate powder around the factory area, leaving a fine cocoa dusting.

Yet, we tend to see it as a series of fortunate events since we don't get to taste chocolate snow every day. On any day, for that matter.
The factory's mishap left a bit of a mess. One car got "damaged" or covered in chocolate, and the Lindt factory offered to pay for the cleaning.

Yet, the owner of the car didn't care about the offer. We believe it's because they were too high on sugar due to the factory's tiny mistake.

The pictures of the car went viral, and we would like nothing more than to taste it. Yes, it sounds gross, but you thought of it too, admit it!
Lindt & Spruengli has since then fixed its ventilation system. Things are back to normal, sadly.

Olten citizens will most likely never forget this cocoa storm. And it's safe to say that many Internet users wanted to be part of this Swiss town, at least for that one glorious day!
The Internet went into a frenzy

Some comments were funnier than others, but people agree: being in Olten during the chocolate storm sounds like heaven. Here's what netizens had to say:
