A foodie shares a cheesecake Easter egg recipe online, and the chocolate dessert is going down a treat on Facebook.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays, right alongside Christmas. Not only do I love the reason for the holiday and celebrating Christ's resurrection, but I also love that it's usually spent with family.

Not to mention the fun celebration around it. Who doesn't love a furry Easter bunny and egg hunts?

Every year, we're left with lots of Easter eggs leftovers.

Luckily, one woman has come up with a brilliant (and delicious) idea to use them up: Easter egg cheesecakes!

Sharing her recipe on Facebook, this woman explains that her recipe isn't your average cheesecake—it's much easier.

All you need to create this little piece of chocolatey heaven is two hollow chocolate eggs, digestive biscuits, butter, double cream, condensed milk, and plain chocolate.

You can also add some mini chocolate eggs as a topping if you wish. This recipe really couldn't be any more simple, even for novices like me.

Speaking about her recipe, the woman shared on the Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK Facebook page:

"Cheesecake Easter Eggs with no Cheese."

"Great for baking with kids. No cooking involved, except for melting chocolate, which I did in a microwave. Enjoyyy."

Here's what you need to make this perfect little Easter dessert.

Ingredients

2 Easter eggs

200g digestive biscuits

80g butter

275ml double cream

1 tin of condensed milk

2 bars of plain milk chocolate

Instructions

Crush up your biscuits, before adding melted butter to create a sand-like texture

In a separate bowl, whip up your cream and fold in melted chocolate

Add condensed milk into your creamy chocolate mix and stir in well

Arrange the cheesecake in half a hollow Easter egg

Lay your biscuit base on the bottom and pour in your cream mixture

Decorate however you wish, such as with mini eggs

Set in the fridge for 2-4 hours – then you're ready to eat the Easter puddings!

As you can see, this recipe is super easy to make, and the end result looks delicious.
